George Bicher '80

George Bicher of Greenwich, Connecticut, before retirement, was a senior managing director at State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), where he led the Fundamental Emerging Markets Active Equity team. He joined SSGA through its acquisition of GE Asset Management, where he was a trustee of the GE Pension Trust and also held roles as chief risk officer as well as portfolio manager and director of research. Prior to GEAM, George worked for various Wall Street firms as an equity analyst and in investment banking. He began his career as bank examiner for the Comptroller of the Currency. George graduated from West Virginia University with a bachelor’s degree in finance and earned an MBA from Boston University.
