The WVU School of Dentistry provides one of the many examples of outreach from the University to our state and beyond.
“If I’ve learned one thing about this University, it’s that we as Mountaineers are fiercely loyal,” said WVU School of Dentistry student Paru Gopalan. “Not just to our football team, but also to the citizens of our state.”
Dental and Dental Hygiene students performed 17,225 clinical procedures, treating 8,087 patients in a recent academic year. Over that same span, the rural offices reported over $5.4 million in uncompensated care provided.
“When you donate, you’re not just donating to enhance our experience here at school,” Gopalan said. “You’re also helping to build a brighter future for our state. Any amount helps, no matter how big or how small. It’s really a team effort. No matter how much you give, it really does make an impact.”
