A fundraising effort to benefit WVU Medicine Children’s will help meet critical health needs for West Virginia children and families by providing support for a dedicated outpatient clinic.

Future students and faculty at West Virginia University Potomac State College will benefit from a former faculty member’s planned gift worth more than $95,000 to benefit the History Department.

William H. ‘Bill’ Gallier established the namesake endowment which will provide funding for activities that support and enhance the History Department for faculty and students. Funding has been designated to the William H. Gallier History Scholarship, faculty travel, professional development and instructional support, student field trips, campus events, and more.

A gift of $50,000 to the West Virginia University Eberly College of Arts and Sciences will increase financial support for graduate students in the Department of Psychology.

A recent donation to West Virginia University Institute of Technology is providing scholarships to help civil engineering students complete their education. New River Engineers, Inc., based in Charleston, W.Va., donated $100,000 at the end of 2024 to establish a scholarship fund for civil engineering students.
