FAQs
What is WVU Day of Giving?
WVU Day of Giving is a one-day fundraising event scheduled for Wednesday, March 20, 2024, for all members of the WVU community. Alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends of West Virginia University are welcome and encouraged to participate.
The goal is to engage our community to advance the mission of West Virginia University. Day of Giving will raise critical funding to ensure the University continues to build upon our infrastructure to provide big opportunities for our students.
Together — in one day — we help forge a brighter future for WVU.
Why should I participate in WVU Day of Giving?
West Virginia faces a critical time in its history as it lags behind a growing national economy. Reduced state funding over the years means donor support for WVU is even more important. As West Virginia University works to move the state and the University forward toward the road to prosperity, building a foundation to provide opportunities for students to learn, grow and thrive in our state is critical.
Your contribution can help WVU accomplish amazing things. It can help a student fulfill a dream, research new cures and advance entrepreneurship to invest in the state economy. The possibilities are endless.
