The Office of Corporate and Foundation Relations at the WVU Foundation provides services and support to facilitate philanthropic relationships and investments with and for the WVU community.

Our suite of services is designed to attract, retain and increase investments in WVU's mission to ignite economic prosperity, develop world-class solutions and forge the next generation of problem-solvers prepared with the tools and know-how to solve the world's intractable challenges.

Corporate and Foundation Relations Team
Heather Cross Heather Cross, Director of Corporate Relations

Heather serves as the Director of Corporate Relations at the WVU Foundation, where she builds and strengthens relationships with industry partners. In collaboration with development staff and faculty across West Virginia University and its Health System, she develops long-term strategic partnerships that generate funding for evolving needs. With 20 years of fundraising experience, Heather has served WVU since 2015, holding a CFRE and MBA.


Elizabeth Thompson Elizabeth Thompson, Director of Foundation Relations

Elizabeth serves as the Director of Foundation Relations on the WVU Foundation's Corporate and Foundation Relations team. In this role, Elizabeth concentrates primarily on private foundation relationships in support of opportunities and needs across the University. With a background in fundraising for social services, as well as her CFRE and MPA, Elizabeth is proud to be part of the WVU team. 


        
Jill Zangari Jill Zangari, Director CFR Operations and Support
jzangari@wvuf.org

Jill serves as the Director of Operations and Support on the Corporate and Foundation Relations team. Jill works strategically with units across the University to provide post-award support and guidance for grants housed at the WVU Foundation. This entails working to ensure accurate reporting for awards and assistance with fund management including balance and transaction requests.
